The first winter camp offered by the Toronto Chinese Soccer Association came to a close on April 23.
The camp, which began in early January, was a resounding success.
The brand new Angus Glen Community Centre in Markham was an ideal location for the camp. The gym has open glass on three sides allowing the parents to watch from the sides.
Twenty four children attended the camp this year. They continued to learn more about the game from our coaches and showed significant improvement in their soccer skills. The camp participants also played two friendly games with a Korean team.
At the closing ceremony, each participant was presented with a trophy and certificate. In his speech, Head coach Cheng Chi Wai commended the children for their effort and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in soccer.
The Toronto Chinese Soccer Association would like to thank all the children and their parents for supporting this year’s winter camp. We hope to build on the success for next year’s winter camp.
